My aim of this collage was to represent a niche kind of comedy that finds its way into almost every internet conversation. I would say that the metaverse of Nicki minaj and her “barbz” is very prominent and extravagant in internet culture. There is a sense of camp that comes with the territory. Since it was created mainly by her queer stans who were attracted to nicki’s rap skills,charm, and alter egos. There are some stans that are hyper serious in what they believe about Nicki minaj being the queen of rap, where most find the meme culture just fun to be around and to identify with. Many can identify with the randomness of and constant inserting of this standom on the internet. As seen in the college there is a pattern of randomness and unseriousness that sparks the stans. A common humor theme we looked at this semester was the constant randomness and contextual moments that encapsulate humor which is a major theme in Nicki Stan culture.
