I love my JBL wireless headphones because they provide me comfort when I’m in public. I love listening to music all day long and it feels like a form of escapism when I wear them.

This dance film is important to me because I was able to combine dance and history to create an artistic representation of the hardships and issues that still face Black Americans today.

For my final project, I wrote a poem to try to encapsulate both fear and humor in the scene from “The Office” we watched in class (the fire drill scene). I wanted to capture elements in the show where the characters were genuinely scared for their lives but were willing to drastic things to try to escape the building. I pinpointed specific instances that I thought were funny throughout the scene and added little excerpts into the poem. I also wanted to add the fear that can come to people if they ever experience an actual fire. Overall, I think that “The Office” scene I analyzed is one of the better examples we went over in class which is why I found it the easiest to do the final project over.

This bracelet was a gift from my older sister from when she first came to the United States. I noticed it when she first started wearing it and I told her how much I really liked it so she let me have it and I've been wearing it ever since 2013. It has a string that lets you adjust the size so thats how I've been able to fit it for all these years. It also says the word "friend" and it has some sea shells. This is a typical design that you would see in Africa for jewelry.

Two gold-colored rings are sitting next to each other. The circle-shaped ring on the left resembles the shape of a rose and in the middle, there is a shiny object at its core. The ring on the right is heart-shaped with a visible shiny object missing. The bands to both rings are slightly out of shape.

This notebook was gifted to me by my mother before I started my first year of college. We found it in a local store in Iowa and it was described to be made "elephant dung".
